Ms ED is a Pākehā woman from the South Island. She shared her experience of suffering physical, sexual and psychological abuse from both a family member and a foster parent throughout her time in foster care, where she had over ten different placements. Ms ED also shared the reactions she experienced when she attempted to report a foster carer’s abuse, and some of her recommendations for improving the foster care system.
